“Revenge of the Scarecrow” performed by Moneypenny Murder Mystery Productions is perfect for the month of Halloween, priced at £58.00 per person to include a three course evening meal, coffee and Murder Mystery entertainment. MURDER MYSTERY The “murder” and subsequent investigation will take place during the dinner with the conclusion and resulting winners being revealed at the end. An Olde England Whodunit with a ghostly twist, “Revenge of the Scarecrow” – Smuggler, Scholar, Scarecrow… Murderer? Welcome to the wild marshlands of Olde England, where the fog is thick, the ale is warm, and the crimes are ripe for a Halloween Harvest! The clock strikes midnight over the misty marshes, and the infamous legend of The Scarecrow rises once more. But tonight, something far more sinister than smuggling is afoot. With a blood-chilling crime hanging heavy in the air, one question must be answered: who among these shadowy figures is the killer? By day, he’s the fiery preacher rallying villagers with his sermons. By night, the same figure takes on his terrifying second life as The Scarecrow, the notorious smuggler turned highwayman. Get ready to laugh, gasp, and awkwardly accuse your fellow dinner guests in this cheeky interactive comedy mystery from Moneypenny Murder Mystery Productions. Only your detective skills can solve the horrifying Halloween mystery that has engulfed this eerie realm. TIMINGS Guests are asked to arrive at 7.30pm for pre-dinner drinks in the Coach House Bar, prior to being seated for dinner service at 8.00pm in the Heritage Suite. The evening will end at approximately 11.00pm.

MENU TBA. As a choice menu, guests are required to submit pre-orders in advance. Dietary requirements will be catered for and must be highlighted in advance. Guests will be seated on tables between ten and twelve. Only parties of 8+ are guaranteed private tables.

DRESS CODE It would be lovely to see as many of you as possible dressed in the era of the 1800’s! Think Bridgerton/Regency era or Scarecrows, Highway Men/Women. This is not mandatory though. Feel free to come dressed smart/casual.

To confirm your booking, a £10 non-refundable deposit is required per person with the full balance and pre-orders to be settled 1 month prior to the event. Payment can be made with card details over the phone, or by bank transfer (please request details at time of booking).

Accommodation Accommodation is available from £205 B&B subject to availability, to include full use of the Aquamanda Spa from check in at 3pm to 5pm on the day of departure. Guests attending our Special Events may receive a complimentary upgrade (subject to availability). To confirm a reservation, card details are required and will be held against the booking for cancellation purposes. Accommodation can be settled on arrival with the option to cancel 24 hours prior to arrival.

Payments can be made with card details over the phone, bank transfer or secure pay links. Hempstead House no longer accepts cash on the premises. All purchases on site must be made by card payments only. Please note that all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Cancellations, either by individuals or as a group including reduced attendance, received 1 month prior to event will result in loss of deposits. All cancellations received within 1 month of the event will unfortunately result in a full cancellation charge. Guests are entitled to a full reimbursement should the hotel cancel the event unless the hotel is forced to close following government guidelines where a full credit voucher only will be issued. Any cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
