A Christmas Carol Festive Tea

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! We are delighted to once again invite you into our Heritage Suite for a real treat for the whole family and experience an intimate performance that no theatre can offer.

Following the success of last two years, we welcome back to the hotel, the critically acclaimed theatre company, This is My Theatre who will bring Charles Dickens’ classic tale "A Christmas Carol" to life in a stunning one-act adaptation.

On Christmas Eve, Ebenezer Scrooge, a mean-spirited and miserly old man, is visited by the ghost of his business partner, Jacob Marley. Shown visions of Christmases Past, Present and Future he is offered one final chance of redemption… But will he take it? Packed with charm, cheer and, of course, plenty of carols, our production is sure to spread joy and warm hearts this Christmas! TIMT are very much looking forward to their Christmas tour this year. They have created this 75 minute, 1 act adaptation to be fun and vibrant to capture imaginations and engage audiences of all ages. “The production closely follows the original Dickens novel and we are looking forward to creating a truly magical and festive production for our audiences, with traditional carols and live music arranged and interwoven throughout by Resident Composer Simon Stallard. Prior to the performance, adults get to enjoy our exquisite festive afternoon tea while children will be served their very own mouth-watering festive tea all to themselves, inclusive of unlimited tea, filtered coffee or squash. Both adult and children’s menus available to view on our website. Dietary requirements and intolerances can be catered for providing these are highlighted in advance to include gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian or vegan afternoon teas. Please note, that additional food and drink brought onto the premises is strictly forbidden.

Doors open from 2pm. Afternoon Tea will be served prompt at 2.30pm followed shortly by the performance.

The price for the afternoon is £38 per adult and £25 per child to include festive afternoon tea, live performance and the chance to personally meet the performers, not forgetting that all important memorable photo as a keepsake! A family of 2 adults and 2 children qualify for an £120 family ticket. Children under 2, not requiring catering will be required to purchase an entry only ticket of £10.00 for a space at the table while babes in arms are complimentary.

This event sells out every year and we anticipate this event to be once again very popular so please do not delay in booking to avoid disappointment.

BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE £10 non-refundable deposit per person is required at time of booking. Full pre-payment is required 1 month prior. Payments can be made with card details over the phone, bank transfer or secure pay links. Hempstead House no longer accepts cash on the premises. All purchases on site must be made by card payments only. Please note that all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Cancellations, either by individuals or as a group including reduced attendance, received 1 month prior to event will result in loss of deposits. All cancellations received within 1 month of the event will unfortunately result in a full cancellation charge. Guests are entitled to a full reimbursement should the hotel cancel the event unless the hotel is forced to close following government guidelines where a full credit voucher only will be issued. Any cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
