Set at the turn of the 20th century, Oklahoma! showcases a pioneer society experiencing rapid and convulsive change. Though famed for its lyrical and unforgettable music, and a heartwarming will-they-won’t-they love story, the themes run much darker too – we see the devastating consequences of profound male loneliness and confront the deep-rooted desire of all humanity: to fit in and belong.
