Supporting Martha Trust: Nick’s Monte Carlo Madness Challenge! https://whatsoninkent.com/partner_profiles/365-battlekart-sittingbourne

We’re proud to share that What’s On in Kent, will be taking part in a fantastic challenge this September in support of the amazing Martha Trust

As part of their Monte Carlo Madness Challenge 2025, we will be getting behind the wheel and joining a convoy of brave (and slightly bonkers!) participants driving from the UK all the way to Monte Carlo - in cars worth no more than £500! It's all in the name of fun, fundraising, and raising awareness for Martha Trust a truly life-changing charity.

Martha Trust provides care and support for people with profound physical and multiple learning disabilities, helping them to live life to the full. Every mile driven and every penny raised on this adventure helps support their vital work.

So here is where you can help and be part of this great challenge: We are providing companies the opportunity to sponsor the car where you can have company’s name and logo displayed on the car for the entire journey! We will be promoting the challenge and story along with Martha Trust on our social media channels including Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin.

Our sponsors will be tagged into the posts and stories that we will be sharing, so it will create a lot of interest on social media with a combined audience over 18,500 followers. It will be great to have our partners being part of the adventure and a fantastic opportunity and inexpensive and tax efficient way to promote your business while supporting a truly meaningful cause.

We’ll be sharing regular updates across social media, along with shoutouts, and behind-the-scenes moments as the teams take on this great adventure - all to raise funds for Martha Trust. All funds raised will go directly to the charity. To have your company name and logo on the car, we are suggesting a minimum donation of £100.00 (and there is no maximum!). It’s a unique way to gain visibility, help a good cause, and be part of something fun and unforgettable.

Please get in touch if you'd like to have your company name and logo on the car, by emailing sales@whatsoninkent.com (mailto:sales@whatsoninkent.com) with your company name and logo and preferably in a vector file.

We would also like to invite any individuals to make a donation and that can be for as little or as much as you can afford to help us support the amazing work that Martha Trust does every day. You can discover more about the amazing work done by Martha Trust here - https://www.marthatrust.org.uk/ Donate Here (https://www.justgiving.com/page/whatsoninkent)

‘Networking with a Difference’ at Frasers

Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of hosting one of our popular “Networking with a Difference (https://whatsoninkent.com/partnerprofiles/378-networking-with-a-difference) ” events at the beautiful Frasers of Egerton. A huge thank you to Lisa Fraser, Jo James, and the whole team for their warm hospitality. The venue looked stunning with its floral décor, and the food and fresh juices were a real treat. Special thanks also to our partners Chapel Down (https://whatsoninkent.com/partnerprofiles/289-chapel-down-winery) for supplying their award-winning sparkling wine - it was thoroughly enjoyed!

We’ve had fantastic feedback from attendees, who told us how much they enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, made valuable new connections, and had some genuinely inspiring conversations. Lisa also gave us a great insight into the wide range of services Frasers offers to help make any event truly special.

Take a look at the highlights in our short video below, and if you'd like to join us for the next one, we’ll be at The Bredgar and Wormshill Light Railway on Wednesday 16th July at 10:30am.

Buttercups Sanctuary for Goats

Buttercups began in 1989 when Bob and Valerie Hitch decided to care for two unwanted goats. A few months later, the RSPCA approached them to take in another goat in urgent need, and this marked the beginning of a steady stream of goats arriving from around the county, many suffering from cruelty and neglect. By 2003, the number of goats in their care had grown so much that the sanctuary became a registered charity.
