Welcome to the latest edition of the What’s On In Kent newsletter!

This month has been a busy one as always. A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Networking with a Difference event at Bredgar and Wormshill Light Railway, it was a fantastic day of connections and conversation in a truly unique setting. ‘Networking with a Difference’ at Bredgar

All Aboard at Bredgar & Wormshill Light Railway!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Networking with a Difference event at the Bredgar & Wormshill Light Railway. Special thanks go to Christy Fouracre, Bill Best, and the entire team of volunteers who hosted us so warmly, as well as to Gusbourne for providing their delicious award-winning wines.

Guests enjoyed a relaxed and informal morning of networking, followed by a fascinating tour of the workshops - home to an incredible collection of trains, carriages, vintage cars, and even a towering 105-foot American fire engine (yes, you can climb the ladder at their events if you’re brave enough!).

Buttercups began in 1989 when Bob and Valerie Hitch decided to care for two unwanted goats. A few months later, the RSPCA approached them to take in another goat in urgent need, and this marked the beginning of a steady stream of goats arriving from around the county, many suffering from cruelty and neglect. By 2003, the number of goats in their care had grown so much that the sanctuary became a registered charity.
