Chapel Down Winery

Chapel Down is England’s leading wine producer with an award-winning range of sparkling and still wines. Based in Kent, in the heart of the Garden of England, we produce wines of the highest quality and which we believe offer the best expression of England. Our winery estate is open to the public for guided tours and experiences and we hope to welcome you soon.

The winery is nestled in the village of Small Hythe, just outside the stunning market town of Tenterden in Kent. Our facilities are best accessed by car or, if arriving via public transport, within easy reach via taxi.

We offer tours where you can learn about the vineyard cycle, the English grape harvest and the intricate process of Traditional Method sparkling wine, as well as afternoon tea tours, wine and cheese tours and seasonal events.

Chapel Down also features its own 2AA Rosette restaurant - The Swan - where you can enjoy our award-winning wines and the fines locally and regionally-sourced produce, cooked to perfection, in an elegant yet relaxed environment. The Swan is currently closed on Mondays and Tuesdays

We have a world-class winemaking team with extensive experience in sparkling wine and cool climate wine regions. Our sparkling and still wines are made to the highest standards using the latest winemaking techniques, resulting in elegant wines with balanced acidity and rich fruit characters. In 2021 we introduced our ‘Discovery Series’ which is a collection of wines led by our winemaking team produced from experimental plantings and modern winemaking practises to better understand the versatility of this relatively new and unexplored wine region.
