Code name: Santa Fe Historic House Tour

Our passionate curator will take you around the historic house exploring how the rooms were used over 70 years ago to carry out top-secret work as part of Operation Ultra. Discover how American soldiers stationed at Hall Place – code name Santa Fe – intercepted encoded messages sent by the Germans.

You will have time after the tour to visit our exhibition displaying GI veterans’ memories and declassified files that reveal the importance of their round-the-clock, top-secret work, which helped defeat the Nazis.

Location: Our tours take place in the historic house, on the ground and first floor. Please meet at the black single door on the side of the historic house, opposite the large lawn and long drive.

Who would like this: Anyone interested in wartime history, especially Second World War and Bletchley Park.

What to bring: Please dress for walking round a historic house, areas can be cooler and some old historic floors can be slightly uneven.

Booked online: Please bring your ticket email QR code to show to staff, so they can scan it. You can buy on the day as well if tickets are available.
