Bluebells Steam Event Day

The first Steam Event Day of the year sees the Steam Locos in action, pulling passenger carriages in traditional style through the parkland and woodland full of Bluebells at the Bredgar Railway. It's that one time of year we see an incredible spread of wild Bluebells through the woodland and alongside the track. It's a beautiful location with a number of attractions including unlimited rides on the passenger steam trains from Warren Wood station through to Stony Shaw and back again. The Engine Shed will be open displaying the collection of vintage tractors, locos, engines and cars as well as the hugely popular, extensive model railway. The main field showcases the visiting exhibitor engines, the resident American 105ft Aerial Ladder Fire truck (scale the ladder if you dare!) as well as tractor and trailer rides. First train is at 11am and they will run frequently until 3.30pm.

For the kids: * A treasure hunt for the children with a prize for those who (mostly) complete it. * Tractor trailer rides * Garden Games! * Train play table * Colouring station. Why not complete your visit with a stop at our Station Tea Room for a 'proper' coffee and some fabulous cake? Alternatively grab something hot from the grill and set out your picnic blanket for a fantastic day out.
