Country by Twilight

It’s time to get your boots on and throw those cowboy hats in the air as Hempstead House Hotel transports you to the southern states of the U.S of A this summer with an exciting evening of live music, line dancing and delicious food with our Country by Twilight! Whether you're a seasoned country music fan or just looking for a fun night out, this Country and Western night promises a memorable experience filled with camaraderie and good old-fashioned fun. Can we get a Yee-haw!

On Saturday 30th August 2025, we invite you into the rear gardens of the hotel from 5.00pm. Being an outdoor event, we ask you to bring your own picnic blankets (or hay bales!) and camping chairs, then simply enjoy the surroundings and relax while we treat you all to a fun filled evening for all the family.

At approximately 5.30pm, we kick start the evening with our delicious American themed BBQ for you to help yourselves to. Make sure you’re charged up, ready for when the night really starts!

We are extremely excited to invite The Honky Tonk Angels who will entertain you with all the fun and classic songs from Nashville for the evening. The Honky Tonk Angels celebrate Country music, at its best! They have played around the world and even led the UK’s largest ever line dance, with approx. 15,000 participants. This three piece all singing, all dancing and all “fiddling” trio will have you singing-a-long to unforgettable country hits of all eras - from Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash, to modern country artists, such as Shania Twain, Lainey Wilson, The Chicks, Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs and many more household names. Get ready for some good old audience participation when you’ll have the chance to not just sing-a-long but learn and partake in some line dancing, that is easy to learn and fun to perform, adding to the authenticity of a country and western evening. You will be line dancing, wearing a Stetson and singing along to Dolly before the night is over! It sure is one country night you will never forget!

The evening will end at approximately 8.30pm.

The price for the afternoon is £55 per adult and £25 per child to include the BBQ and live entertainment. Children under 2, not requiring catering will be granted free entry.

Drinks can be ordered on the day. Why not treat yourselves to an Aperol Spritz, Bucket of Beer, Pitcher of Pimms or Prosecco on Ice to compliment the afternoon? Please note, that additional food and drink brought onto the premises is strictly forbidden.

Being an outdoor event, we ask you to bring your own picnic blankets or camping chairs, and simply enjoy the surroundings and relax. Please note, the hotel will not provide tables and chairs outside. Shelter will also not be provided. Gazebos are not permitted.

“RAIN DOES NOT STOP PLAY!” - Please dress appropriately for our unpredictable British weather as the performance will be planned for outside. In the event of heavy rain, this event will be relocated to the Heritage Suite on sharing tables of up to 10 guests.

It will amazing to see as many of you dressed in your best Stetsons, boots, plaid shirts, denim and waistcoats to fully immerse yourselves in the atmosphere but not mandatory.

COUNTRY PACKAGE – Special Accommodation Offer Why not make the most of your time at Hempstead House and book our Country Package, designed to make this occasion extra special! Be quick though – this package is limited – first come first served! Not only does it include a double upgrade to an Executive Double bedroom, breakfast, AquaManda Spa access until 5pm the next day and the Country by Twilight event, but also a 45 minute line dancing lesson with refreshments in the afternoon, prior to the event, with The Honky Tonk Angels themselves. The package is charged at £160 per person based on double occupancy. To confirm a reservation, a £50 deposit per person is required at time of booking. Card details are required and will be held against the booking for cancellation purposes. Final balance to be settled by 30th July.

Full pre-payment is required 1 month prior. Payments can be made with card details over the phone, bank transfer or secure pay links. Hempstead House no longer accepts cash on the premises. All purchases on site must be made by card payments only. Please note that all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Cancellations, either by individuals or as a group including reduced attendance, received 1 month prior to event will result in loss of deposits. All cancellations received within 1 month of the event will unfortunately result in a full cancellation charge. Guests are entitled to a full reimbursement should the hotel cancel the event unless the hotel is forced to close following government guidelines where a full credit voucher only will be issued. Any cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
