A four week short course led by Caroline Halfpenny, bespoke gardener and RHS lecturer, who will share with you her horticultural knowledge and expertise. You will learn to sow and grow hardy annuals, while designing vibrant garden borders that showcase your homegrown plants. From cutting borders to mixed borders, each week explores a variety of plants with a focus on annuals for impact and help you confidently choose the "Right Plant for the Right Place". With a strong focus on plant selection and practical design, you'll work towards creating a small-scale planting plan tailored to your own garden.
Classes are limited to 14 students to guarantee you receive the best teaching and advice. Sessions will run from 1:15pm until 4:15pm and include a 15 minute introduction, 60 minute theory, 30 minute break (for tea and a slice of cake!), 60 minute practical and 15 minute plenary.
Suitable for both beginners and experienced gardeners. All materials will be provided.
