Peanut Butter Fudge Day

Peanut Butter Fudge Day is one that is worthy of a great deal of enjoyment and appreciation. It honours the peanut, peanut butter, and the glorious fudge that it can be made into.

History of Peanut Butter Fudge Day:

This special day was established by the National Peanut Board. It is generally believed that fudge was first created in the 1800s when a batch of caramels didn’t turn out quite right. The word “fudge” used to mean “cheat” or “hoax”, so it makes sense that this word would be used for something that didn’t turn out like it was originally meant to be. Who knew this? We didn’t!

How to Celebrate:

Get involved with Peanut Butter Fudge Day in a whole variety of ways! Whether celebrating alone, with friends or at work, this day is a fun one to fill with all sorts of delicious concoctions. Try out these ideas for enjoying the day:

  • Buy yourself or your friends/work colleagues some peanut butter fudge treats (if they’re not allergic to nuts of course!)
  • Make your own peanut butter fudge
  • Enjoy a peanut butter sort of dessert
  • Enjoy some peanut butter on toast if you would rather leave the really sweet stuff!
