Gingerbread Decorating Day has been created so that we all have the perfect opportunity to practice the fun festive activity of decorating a gingerbread house/man. Of course, you don’t have to create a gingerbread house, you may want to make gingerbread in the shape of Santa or a reindeer and decorate these instead. The choice is yours! Baking gingerbread was deemed as a specific profession back in the day! Crazy we know. In the 17th Century you could only make it if you were a professional baker – one of the best sounding jobs ever!

How to celebrate:

The most obvious way is to make some gingerbread yourself! If you don’t feel like making your own, you could go to the shops and find a gingerbread making kit with pre-made gingerbread men! These are also very fun. Why not visit a local café for some gingerbread snacks!

This fun day creates lots of fun for the whole family and lets your imagination run wild!
