Fancy a day out at Leeds Castle?


Leeds Castle is one of the top locations to visit in Kent, not only do they have glorious grounds to explore, they also have lots of things to do at the castle and it has some wonderful history.

Leeds Castle is situated on the outskirts of Maidstone just off junction 8 of the M20 so it is very accessible by road with plenty of parking. The castle was originally built back in the year 857, it is still one of the oldest castles in the UK and going strong to this day. It was regularly visited by Edward I and it was known to be his favourite residence to visit. King Henry VIII made frequent visits and was a place to live for his first wife Catherine of Aragon.

On the grounds they have 9-hole golf course which has been built on their 500-acre land. Par 34, 2843-yard golf course. Other attractions they have on site is the maze & grotto which is a great family friendly activity. Alongside that they have their adventure golf course for all friends and family. Lots of different type of obstacle courses and playgrounds for your children to use. If you’re a big fan of birds of prey why not head to the Falconry area which has bird such as Falcons, Hawks and Owls which you can even meet! More attractions and things to do there is the Dog Collar Museum, Elsie the Castle Train and the Black Swan Ferry. They have a range of indoor attractions and outdoor attractions, so what ever the weather it’s a great family day out.
