October is here and the nights are starting to close in , with Halloween just around the corner we’ve had a busy couple of months here at What’s On in Kent.

We’ve welcomed some fantastic new partners to our platform over the last few months including but not limited to; Buckmore Park, Hangloose Adventure, The Ridge Golf Club, Chilston Park, Kenward Place, The UK Electric Bike Company, TJ’s Pub, Leeds Castle, Cyclopark, Krazy Kidz Party Bus, Maidstone Wind Symphony, Service Properties, The Little Gem and many others.

We’d like to thank them all, as well as all our other partners & local services for their continued support.

We’ve attended some great network meetings organised by the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, Made In Kent Radio & The Kent Association for the Blind, and we’ve met some lovely Kent-based businesspeople. The locations of these meetings range between the Wildwood Trust, Givaudan, and TJ’s Pub in Gravesend.

This months competition we gave away a pair of tickets to see Mark Thomas at the Hazlitt Theatre on our Instagram page, congratulations to Eloise who won the prize, and big thanks to those who entered as well as Unavoidable PR who supplied us with the tickets. Keep an eye on the app and our social media for future competitions.

Last month we entered the Big Ball European rally travelling through France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Monaco and Switzerland. On our trip we spread the word of the What’s On in Kent app to people we met along the way. Kent receives thousands of visitors from Europe each year so we wanted to show potential visitors how much is going on in the Garden of England.

Our Halloween category went live recently so you can find lots of spooky things to do this October, and with an average of just over 20,000 page views per month it’s a great place too let the people of Kent know what you have going on.

We’ve also been visiting some of our partners and taking pictures of them with our supercar, and helping them to promote their businesses. Keep an eye out for further news and blogs promoting our partners to let you know what they have going on.

This is our first edition of the What’s On in Kent newsletter and we plan to continue producing one each month to send out to all of our partners, local services and users.

With winter rapidly approaching, its going to be a very busy time for us at What’s On in Kent with Bonfire Night, Christmas, and New Years events coming up very shortly. You’ll be pleased to hear we plan to implement a category for these events so our users can easily find things to do for each occasion.

We will soon be implementing our new ticketing system, allowing our partners to sell tickets and vouchers directly from their profile. There also will be opportunities to promote your business on our website soon, if you’re interested in either option, please send our team an email to sales@whatsoninkent.com.

We also have plans for many more giveaways so keep your eyes on our social media pages over the next few months for your chance to win some fantastic prizes.

We have found that since we have such a wide range of fantastic partners, we are in the perfect position to help our partners network with each other, we also work with quite a few charitable organisations so we are looking to hold some fundraising and networking events over the next 12 months.

That’s it for this month’s newsletter, thank you for reading, if you have any comments of things you’d like us to know us about please send us an email.
