Trinity Theatre

Trinity is recognised as a vibrant cultural hub situated in the heart of Tunbridge Wells, offering a varied seasonal programme, inspiring all age groups with our vision leading on enriching lives and promoting cultural togetherness.

Established as an Arts Hub in 1982, we are about to celebrate our 40th anniversary; focused firmly on engaging the wider community in shared artistic experiences we continue to strengthen the growth of our creative network by partnering with like-minded entities, and artists for the betterment and wellbeing of the residents of Kent and beyond.

It is our mission to support both the younger and older population in life-enhancing and life-changing activities – all with a sense of fun, and we are good at it. We really are.

With some 90,000 people coming through our doors in a ‘normal’ year, our organisational aim and commitment is to increase awareness of the broader mental wellbeing activities we deliver – especially in a year hit by Covid-19 – which has taken its toll on the region, AND while we have kept the community’s cultural light on (just), we recognise that this is the time to ask our creative community to pull together in collective support.

We are perhaps best known for theatrical productions, stand-up comedy (you’ve got to get your hands on a club night ticket), live music and cinema, but we offer so much more! Our art gallery is an event space like no other, supporting local artists, used by colleges and art schools alike for their end of year shows; we are also hired by private galleries of note wishing to test the market. Trinity is acknowledged as one of the leading, award-winning, cultural venues in the South East of England and we have a demographic reach unlike any other in West Kent.

We are both a commercial proposition and a charitable organisation – with community front and centre.
